A mentoring programme at Worth involving Year 12 and Year 7 pupils is proving mutually beneficial.
Year 12 students are providing academic support for boys and girls in their first year at the School during fortnightly get-togethers in tutor time.
For the Year 7 pupils it is an opportunity to build a rapport and learn from older students, which in turn helps to ensure a smooth integration into an education at Worth. For the Year 12 students, it is a chance to improve their leadership and communication skills by supporting the younger children in their studies.
Being a mentor also serves as a way to give back and the programme offers the additional benefit of building self-confidence of both the mentors and the mentees.
