Worth School

Five students represented Worth with distinction in a Model United Nations Conference this week, with three of them receiving awards.

Worth was one of 11 schools taking part in the MUN Conference at Hurst College on Monday. Conference topics ranged from the issue of freedom of religion and belief to the issue of sporting events in human rights abusing states.

Our MUN Society students represented Switzerland and did an excellent job debating their respective issues, with two of them earning bronze medals and one a silver.

Well done to all five students.

MUN conferences are a simulation of the United Nations for pupils in schools and higher education. They provide a great opportunity to develop research skills and public speaking abilities.
