Lots of fun for boarders

From a musical extravaganza to cookie making and a go-karting trip, it was another weekend packed with opportunities for our boarding students.

It began last Friday with House Bands, the second part of our House Music competition, and then continued on Saturday evening when a student in St Mary’s House organised and ran a cookie making and baking evening as her creativity, activity, service (CAS) project, which is one of the three essential elements that every student must complete as part of the IB Diploma Programme. Then on Sunday there was a trip to an indoor go-karting venue in Crawley.

Our weekends programme, which is open to day students as well as boarders, includes dedicated periods on Saturday morning for societies, clubs, activities, study support classes, and volunteering opportunities, plus a sports fixtures programme.

Additional highlights for this coming weekend include a sports evening on Friday when students can play basketball, volleyball, table tennis or use the fitness suite, then on Saturday evening there is a cinema and pizza night, while on Sunday there is a trip to Brighton when students can walk along the seafront and visit the shopping precinct.
