After an absence of a number of years, the Literary Society has been relaunched at Worth to promote writing and reading among students.
The Society is aiming to produce one publication a year, featuring both poetry and prose with sections dedicated to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and 5. Students will also be entered into various competitions, including the prestigious Tower Poetry Competition and Columban Competition. There will also be reading programmes and regular events within the society with plans, in time, to invite local writers and journalists to visit Worth and offer advice and tips on writing.
Students will be invited to take on leadership roles in the different areas of what will be a vibrant and active society, promoting academia and achievement within the School.
This is just one of many co-curricular activities students can get involved in at Worth.
