Actor and director Sam Hiller, best known for his role as associate director of Les Misérables, visited Worth last week to run a workshop for a group of our Drama students.
This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to spend time with someone with an impressive list of credits in the industry. The evening finished with a question and answer session.
Sam’s directing career also includes being resident director for The Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty’s), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (UK tour), White Christmas (Sunderland Empire) and The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber (RTE, Dublin Concert Hall).
As well as regular productions to perform in – or work backstage – during the academic year, the Drama department at Worth offers students unique opportunities to find out more about the business through visiting speakers. Recently, actor Layton Williams came to the School to meet our students.
Read about Layton’s visit here.
