During the last year, our Duke of Edinburgh’s Award participants have dedicated an amazing 1,664 hours to volunteering.
Our pupils have engaged in a variety of service activities through the scheme, with an estimated social value of £7,687.68. This is an incredible achievement which we are proud of.
Whether it is by giving back to their community, developing a passion for a particular cause or learning a new skill through their volunteering activity, the volunteering section of the DofE Award scheme changes lives and has a positive impact on communities.
Worth is proud to be a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Directly Licensed Centre, which allows us to run and approve Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. The Award is extremely popular at Worth and in recent times we have had the highest achievement rate among independent schools in the South-East region.
In the final week of term, a large number of our pupils will be taking part in Bronze, Silver and Gold expeditions.
