Boys in Rutherford House have taken their fundraising for Movember in the last four years to almost £10,000.
Sixth Form boys, along with Housemaster Mr Liam Richman, spent last month supporting Movember for a fourth successive year by each growing a moustache to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide.
This year the younger years also got involved by taking part in a press-ups/sits-up challenge while the House has also been selling Rutherford hoodies to raise the total further. A total of 108 hoodies have been told in a range of colours – burgundy, pink, grey marl and black – which has raised an extra £800.
So far the fundraising total has reached a remarkable £3,775 this year and £9,755 in total since first supporting Movember in 2020. You can still donate to their fundraising page by clicking here.
