A wonderful sense of House spirit shone through as the first part of our annual House Music competition took place in the Performing Arts Centre theatre last Friday.
House Shout is an opportunity for students from all nine senior Houses to come together to sing. Fifty per cent of the marks from the evening count towards the overall scoring, with House Bands to follow in February when the remaining marks are up for grabs.
Our guest judge last Friday was Luke Saint, a teacher of Music at a music specialist academy in East London. He spoke about Houses producing brave performances and about how dynamic the singing and movement was.
St Anne’s were crowned House Shout champions with their performance Nativity’s She’s the Brightest Star. St Catherine’s were second while Rutherford and St Mary’s were joint third.
Well done to all nine Houses for their contribution to a fun evening of music-making.
Here is a selection of pictures from the evening.
