Hockey player chosen for Talent Academy Festival

Congratulations to Sixth Form student Emma Wood who has been selected to represent Sevenoaks Talent Academy at the England Hockey Talent Academy Festival to be held in Nottingham this coming weekend.

This is a huge achievement and Emma has trained super hard to deserve her place in the team. The Festival is the primary route for players involved in Talent Academy to be considered for England Age Group further observation and assessment.

Worth’s Head of Hockey nominated Emma for Talent Academy trials in September and she has been training weekly and representing the squad in regional matches since her selection. The Talent Academy only take a squad of 18 to Nottingham so she has done really well.

From the start of 2023-24, hockey at Worth will be led by double Olympian and highly-respected coach Calum Giles.
