Hockey girls on a winning run

Worth School

Our 1st XI hockey girls are enjoying an excellent season and they made it three wins on the trot with back-to-back victories during the last week.

The girls beat Streatham and Clapham High School 4-3 in the latest round of the national cup last Thursday and then followed that up with a 2-1 victory away to Churcher’s College on Saturday. This was one of a number of sports fixtures taking place as part of our packed weekend programme, with a block set of rugby matches against Caterham School which included wins for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd XVs plus the U15A, as well as a fencing fixture.

These latest wins for the hockey girls mean they have won six and drawn one of their 11 matches this season, which is highly impressive with a challenging fixture programme designed to test them and further their improvement.

Our pictures are from the national cup win last Thursday.
