Helping a local school

Worth School

Worth is helping a local primary school by running a Saturday morning Forest School for their children.

Forest Schools offer a unique educational experience using the outdoor environment of the forest as a classroom. Pupils from Balcombe Primary come to Worth where they are taught outdoor skills such as whittling wood, building fires and understanding how trees use animals to disperse their seeds.

For a number of years, Worth has offered outreach support to schools in the Sussex area through a variety of ways and, with a beautiful campus set in glorious Sussex countryside, a Forest School is one of those ways.

Forest School is also offered to our own pupils during the academic year through the activities, clubs and societies programme, and there are also opportunities for our pupils to get involved with helping the visiting schools.
