Head Master's Christmas message

Fri, Dec 22nd, 2023
Worth School

Head Master Mr Stuart McPherson has delivered a Christmas message to the Worth community:

As we welcome the festive break, we reflect upon what has been a remarkable Autumn Term.

Success takes many forms here at Worth from academic achievement, musical accolades and competitive sports to caring for and respecting one another and our environment. At the heart of it all are our school values; students are encouraged to appreciate their day-to-day lives, the privileges and the support they have, to push themselves – often out of their comfort zones – and to make a difference to their communities.

It has been a joyful fortnight as excitement for Christmas has gathered momentum across campus. We have enjoyed discos and film nights to hot chocolate and doughnut break-times, culminating in our Christmas Cheer event and School Carol Service which was a special and happy occasion beginning with fun in the marquee before moving on to the Abbey Church to reflect and rejoice in the beautiful candlelit service at which the school choir sang.

A sincere thank you to everyone who has played a part in this terrific term.

May God’s peace be in your hearts and homes this Christmas season and throughout the new year.

Stuart McPherson

Head Master
