Head Master Mr Stuart McPherson joined in with a balance class being run by Befriended, which is a charity Worth has been supporting.
Befriended is a charity serving isolated, elderly people in Mid Sussex. Students from the School have been helping out with running Befriended Balance for a while now and Mr McPherson went along to see the valuable work they have been doing.
Gail Millar, chief executive of Befriended, said: “Thank you to Stuart for giving up the time to come and see the value students and teachers from Worth School bring to our Befriended community.
“It was an honour to share with Stuart our work and vision to bring an end to loneliness and isolation amongst older people living in Mid Sussex. Our aim is to do this through building partnerships and connections with a cross section of our community to bring hope, joy, relationship and friendship across all ages. The students from Worth bring a depth of relationship which works both ways."
In December, girls in St Mary’s Sixth hosted a group of guests from Befriended in their House, with everyone enjoying a bingo session and carols around the piano.
