Worth’s Head of Football has become a world champion for the third time.
Mr Daniel Collins has just coached the Great Britain medical football team, an international representative side of former academy and current non-league players who are also medical professionals, to success at the World Medical Football Championships on the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
The team won every game during the tournament, topping their group, which included Panama, Germany and Spain, before defeating Brazil, Poland and finally the hosts, Australia, in the knockout stages.
It was Great Britain’s fourth consecutive world championship final, winning three, after finishing runners-up last year in Vienna. Mr Collins has coached the side over the last five tournaments.
A UEFA A Licence coach and FA coach developer, Mr Collins runs the football programme for boys and girls at Worth.
