A great year for girls

Worth School

Well done to our 1st XI football girls who completed an unbeaten summer season with a good performance and a win in their final match of the year this week.

Against a young Ardingly side, Worth made it four wins from four in the Summer Term and six wins out of eight across their academic year, with their only two defeats coming in advanced rounds of the two national competitions the School enters.

It has been another good year of sport for girls at Worth. Our 1st VII girls’ rugby team reached the second day of competition for the first time at the National Schools Sevens before losing in the Plate semi-finals, the lacrosse team continues to develop well, hockey and netball remain strong sports for the School and last weekend Worth fielded a 1st XI girls’ cricket team for the first time.
