Head of Football Mr Daniel Collins is keen to give the School’s footballers a variety of experiences to aid their development and as part of that the 1st XI enjoyed a game away to a local senior non-league side last week.
Playing away to Southern Combination League Premier Division club Crawley Down Gatwick, Worth took on the hosts’ U18s side at The Haven, a ground which has hosted FA Cup football this season. The School played extremely well with a mixed side including some 2nd XI and U16 players and went 2-0 up before eventually losing 4-2.
Worth will continue to build its links with local club and seek out unique playing opportunities for its footballers beyond the regular fixture circuit.
