Treating each other with respect and kindness is an important part of community life at Worth and, in a new initiative, the pupils in Austin House have been tasked to notice the good in others.
Austin is the Junior House at Worth for pupils in Years 7 and 8. If they see an act of kindness carried out by a peer or any action that relates to Worth’s school values, the pupils are asked to write this down on a card and post it in the House post box.
Those who are nominated on ‘good deed cards’ are recognised in House and receive merits for their actions. This initiative, introduced by Austin Housemistress Mrs Anna MacMahon, rewards good behaviour and serves to encourage further positive action.
