Worth’s senior golf team did the School proud when they competed in the national finals of the Swifts Foursomes competition.

The competition involved the top 16 school golf teams in the UK competing over three days for the national title at Frilford Heath Golf Club in Oxfordshire. This was the first time Worth had reached the finals of this event.

In the opening round Worth faced St Leonard’s School, a school with more than 180 golfers in its programme. Despite the strength in depth of their opponents, Worth narrowly lost 2–1 in a highly competitive match.

On the second day, Worth responded superbly by defeating Mill Hill School 2–1 to reach the Plate semi-finals before losing to an exceptionally strong Millfield School side, widely expected to win the main cup before suffering a surprise setback the previous day.

Well done to George, Toby, Ewan, Albie, Seb and Carlo who all produced excellent performances throughout the event.

Worth runs its own Golf Academy, as well as having an indoor golf simulator and a nine-hole golf course on campus.
