Seven Worth pupils obtained gold certificates, placing them in the top 10% nationally, when competing in the UK Bebras Challenge.

Pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in this Computer Science competition which involves completing a series of logical computational thinking problems.

The Bebras Challenge takes place in schools, under the supervision of teachers, across a two-week period. Last year, more than three million pupils from more than 80 countries participated.

In the UK, the challenge is open to all young people aged six to 19. Each participant has 45 minutes to tackle a series of interactive tasks, designed to encourage logical thinking and problem-solving skills appropriate for their age group.

Well done to our gold certificate winners.

The Computer Science department at Worth encourages pupils to test themselves in national competitions.
