Forming pupils in faith

A two-night Confirmation retreat for Year 10 included guest speakers, faith-based experiences and fun activities.

The retreat was held this year at St Bruno’s, on the Worth estate, rather than going off campus. It allowed the pupils more time to focus on the purpose of the retreat as well as the opportunity to spend time in the Abbey Church and explore the Worth grounds. This included a group walk to the Quiet Garden and a moment of reflection for pupils.

Each year the Mission team at Worth runs a Confirmation programme for pupils who wish to take part, culminating in a Confirmation service in the Summer Term. A necessary part of the programme is a retreat which offers the opportunity to help pupils understand the journey towards receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.
