A former Worth student is celebrating after being named Young Surveyor of the Year 2020.
It has been lovely to hear about a number of achievements by former Worth students in recent months and we were delighted to find out that Giles Heather, who was in Farwell and left in 2003, not only won in the Quantity Surveying and Construction category at The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors' annual awards last Friday, but also collected the Young Surveyor of the Year accolade. Many congratulations Giles.
News too of some worthy work by another Worthian. Julia Hollis (St Mary’s, 2011) was part of a team of women who set up a meditation platform called Peacebeam. Julia has now written and narrated a meditation series for young women aged 15-20 called Letters to a Young Woman.
The series, made up of five-minute podcasts, is all about finding your own path, speaking up, accepting your uniqueness and generally acknowledging the challenges of navigating your way from girlhood to womanhood. Julia is giving Worthians free access to the series until 24 December 2020 by using the code LTAYW2020. Click here for more details.
