Former Worth student and professional videographer Ollie de Havas has followed up a stint working for NFL legend Tom Brady in Monaco by landing a job working on his first television series.

Ollie, who left Worth in 2022, is unable to reveal more details about his exciting television opportunity apart from saying it will be a Channel 4 series and he will start working on the project in September.

Last month Ollie was in Monaco working for Team Brady – a powerboat racing team owned by legendary American footballer Tom Brady – at the E1 series, a fast-growing championship which combines electric boat racing with environmental sustainability.

The opportunity came about through a relative who introduced Ollie to the public relations agent of Team Brady. Ollie said: “He got in contact with me and asked me to do some work for them. It was originally just to work for them in Monaco but I was hoping something more would come from it. It went well and now they have asked me to work for them at the next round in Lake Como next week.

“I got to meet Tom Brady. He is clearly a very famous individual, but he was very nice to me and he was happy to have a photograph taken with me. I also got to meet Didier Drogba who runs one of the other teams.

“It was a fabulous opportunity to work for Team Brady and that was huge for my CV when I applied for the Channel 4 job. This will be my first big television job and I am very excited.”

Ollie initially intended to go to university after leaving Worth but, as the work offers came in, he decided to concentrate on being a self-employed videographer and photographer.

He thoroughly enjoyed his time at Worth, where he was 1st XI cricket captain, and remains very grateful to the School – and particularly Head of Photography Mr John Everest – for encouraging his love of photography. He said: “I would like to thank Worth and Mr Everest for making possible the opportunities I am getting now. Mr Everest encouraged me to follow my love of photography, he helped me immensely and continues to give me help and advice when I need it, even after leaving the School.”

The pictures show Ollie with Tom Brady, Ollie in Monaco, one of him with the trophy which Team Brady won and the Team Brady boat.
