Here are this year’s Forerunners who are the mission team at Worth, providing vibrant and engaging youth ministry to our pupils on their journey through the School.
Now in their 11th year, the Forerunners team is a community of young adults who help our pupils to engage with faith through three main ways: prayer, community and mission. The name ‘Forerunner’ comes from St John the Baptist, who is described as the forerunner to Jesus, and the Forerunner team follows his example of pointing the way to Jesus.
The Forerunners run a variety of faith-based activities, from our whole-school collective worship, known as Wednesday Worship, to Oasis – a timetabled fun and faith session for Years 7 to 9 – to House prayers. Every House has a Forerunner assigned to it and pupils at Worth are encouraged to get to know them, to share their own faith journey with their Forerunner and be supported by them.
