Footballers put in extra work in pre-season

Worth’s first team football squad enjoyed pre-season at the home of National League side Worthing, but only after rolling up their sleeves and helping the ground staff to clear snow from the pitch.

Once the pitch was cleared, the boys spent two days training at Worthing’s Woodside Road ground last week, working with Head of Football Mr Daniel Collins to get them in shape and work on drills ahead of a challenging programme of fixtures.

It was a great experience for the boys to use a facility which hosts semi-professional football at the sixth tier of the English game. Hopefully it will inspire them to enjoy a successful term.
