Well done to Year 7 footballer Emma Markwick who has recently played in two prestigious cup finals for her club side.

Emma plays as a midfielder for Lindfield Lionesses U12s, who are part of Lindfield Juniors Football Club, and she is playing her first season of 9-a-side football. Her team recently reached the Sussex Cup final, which is the biggest competition in the county, and despite losing 3-1 to Withdean they performed really well.

Her team also reached the League Cup final last Sunday, where they lost a nail-biting match 1-0 to Lewes. Emma is now looking forward to playing for the school team.

Worth now runs girls’ football teams at 1st XI, U16A, U15A, U14A and U13A levels.

We support our pupils playing club sport alongside their Worth commitments and one Year 13 boy, Pietro Saletti, recently won the Sussex Cup with his team Crawley Down Gatwick.
