Footballer gets national call-up

Congratulations to Year 9 footballer Max Willsher who has been named in the national squad for the Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) to face Wales in Cardiff on Monday 5 May.

Max was previously selected for ISFA’s 40-player U14 squad for this season and has played against various professional club academy and representative sides during the course of the year. At Easter he attended a training camp with the squad at Macclesfield FC’s ground before playing a match against their academy.

The international against Wales is ISFA’s traditional season ending fixture, which sees the squad cut to just 16 players for the game in Cardiff, so Max has done exceptionally well to be selected.

Well done Max. We are proud of your achievement.
