Year 8 pupil Alex Ballard flew the flag proudly for Worth as he claimed third place in the 800m at the Sussex Schools athletics competition last weekend.
This was a huge achievement for Alex as it is his first year in the U15s age group and his main event is normally the 1,500m. In finishing in third place, he also claimed a personal best of 2:15.
The event was held at the K2 in Crawley and featured the best school athletes in their disciplines from across the county. Alex now progresses to the next event which takes place on Saturday.
Many congratulations Alex.
