Fingers on buzzers for new competition

Students had fingers on buzzers for the start of the inaugural Interhouse University Challenge competition last Friday.

This new competition, based on the long-running television quiz show, has been introduced for the 2025-26 academic year. Teams of four from the nine senior Houses answer a series of tough general knowledge questions.

The first round of the competition saw Butler House emerge triumphant from Gervase and St Mary’s. Six more Houses compete tomorrow, with two semi-finals taking place next Friday and a grand final on Friday 7 November in the Performing Arts Centre theatre.
