Worth school is committed to broadening access to the school.
Worth School aims to provide an education with heart and soul, and this can be seen in all that our pupils do: in our service activities, the way we play sport, our art, design, music and drama, our Benedictine tradition, the faith life of the School, and the way pupils and staff interact with each other.
The Governors of Worth School are committed to broadening access to a Worth education by supporting families who may need financial assistance with school fees. The School, therefore, offers means-tested financial support (“bursaries”) to families who would otherwise be unable to afford the fees. In addition, means-tested financial support (“hardship awards”) may be available to assist existing families facing significant and unexpected changes in their circumstances that lead to temporary financial difficulties.
As the funds available for bursaries and hardship awards are finite, each application is considered carefully, taking into account a family’s financial circumstances and the School’s available resources.
Worth uses an independent company, Bursary Administration Ltd (BAL), to review and assess applications for financial support. All awards are subject to an annual reassessment of parental means and may be increased, reduced or withdrawn depending on changes in family circumstances or the School’s available funds.
