Students supported their studies with an enlightening Art and Photography Paris galleries trip when they visited a wide range of museums.

The trip at the end of the first half of the Lent Term began with visits to Musée du Louvre, where they explored classical and Renaissance masterpieces, and Musée de l’Orangerie, where they saw Monet’s Water Lilies and Impressionist works.

The following day students looked at Impressionist/Post-Impressionist art at Musée d’Orsay before going to Centre Pompidou, where they explored modern and contemporary art. The day finished with an optional visit to Galerie Dior, providing fashion design inspiration.

On the third full day in Paris, they went to Musée Rodin, which was an opportunity to see sculpture gardens and expressive forms, which was followed by free time for sketching or an optional visit to Palais de Tokyo.

The trip provided some fabulous experiences for our students, as well as providing inspiration to support coursework.
