Worth hosted a successful GCSE Options Evening last night which gave Year 9 pupils and parents the opportunity to listen to talks as well as meet teachers and current GCSE pupils at the full range of option subject stands.
The evening started with drinks and canapés in the Performing Arts Centre followed by a presentation from Assistant Head, Middle School, Mrs Sarah Flint.
Mrs Flint was joined by two Sixth Form students who shared their experiences and advice. One of them said the following:
“Pick what you love and pick what corresponds vaguely to potential A Level subjects in the future. GCSEs are a perfect way to explore what you like in a more detailed way, so when it comes to picking your choices believe in yourself and trust yourself.”
Current parents who were unable to attend, or any present who would like to refer back to last night’s presentation, can see the slides on the parent portal.
