Well done to members of the Worth equestrian team who achieved team and individual success while competing in two notable competitions in the last few days.

In the 65/70cm class in the Hurst Inter Schools Team and Individual Show Jumping Competition at the All England Showground, Hickstead, last Thursday, the Worth team produced some excellent clear rounds to finish as the fifth placed team.

The 85/90cm class was large and very competitive, but the Worth team again produced some beautiful clear rounds and Grace came close to placing individually in eighth place.

The Worth equestrian team then headed to Felbridge on Saturday for the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Show Jumping Qualifiers and, while all jumped well, Claudia achieved individual fifth place in both the 80cm and 90cm classes, qualifying her for the NSEA Championship Plate in October.

Then on Sunday we had teams compete in the NSEA Grassroots Qualifiers 60cm and 70cm classes. In the 60cm division, the Worth team achieved second place to qualify for the NSEA Regional Grassroots Championships in December, with Charlie achieving seventh in class. In the 70cm class, Amelie placed third individually to qualify for the championships in December.

Well done to all riders who represented Worth. The Worth equestrian team is open to any students wishing to join and numbers are increasing.
