Worth’s equestrian team continues to go from strength to strength and there were some impressive performances in the recent National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) inter-schools event at Felbridge Showground.
The School sent a team of five to the event, competing in the show jumping classes. Libby took to the arena first in the opening class of the day and was placed individually third on her new horse ‘Micro Man’. In class two, Claudia and Maddy both jumped clear rounds for Worth, then in class three Tom also jumped a clear round. Eva competed later in the day, jumping clear to finish fourth in class.
Claudia, meanwhile, has qualified for the next round of the regional championships on 4 December.
NSEA events are held throughout the year, from local events to annual national championships. Disciplines include dressage, show jumping and one-day eventing and arena eventing.
It is great to see a growing Worth team competing regularly and producing excellent results. Other pupils who ride are encouraged to join the team with the opportunity to compete at these events.

Horse riding is also offered at Worth through the activities programme. Whether an experienced rider or a beginner, pupils can develop their horse riding skills at the Woody Riding Centre in West Hoathly under the guidance of a qualified instructor.
