Worth School

Congratulations to Year 9 pupil Eliza Fearon who placed sixth out of 48 entrants from more than 20 schools while representing Worth in the NSEA Arena Eventing event at Coombelands Equestrian Centre in Pulborough.

Arena eventing is made up of show jumping and cross country jumps and there was a total of 17 jumps. Eliza was competing in the 80cm class.

National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) events are held throughout the year, from local events to annual national championships. Disciplines include dressage, show jumping and one-day eventing and arena eventing.

Worth has its own equestrian team which competes at these events and results in recent times have been impressive. The team is open to any students wishing to join.

Horse riding is also offered to all students through are activities programme.

Well done Eliza.
