Environmental Society lead special service

Students in the Worth Environmental Society led a special ‘Season of Creation’ themed Wednesday Worship this week in collaboration with the Worth Abbey Parish group Worth Pro-Earth and our own Chaplaincy team.

Wednesday Worship is the summit of the school week where all students and staff come together in the Abbey Church.

Members of the Worth Environmental Society spoke during the service while there were readings from a representative of Worth Pro-Earth, then pupils and staff were encouraged to sign pledges regarding limiting food and energy waste.

This will form part of the School’s entry for the CAFOD Live Simply Award, which involves the Worth Environmental Society completing nine faith-based actions linked revolving around living simply, sustainably and in solidarity.
