Ten Sixth Form students have qualified for the regional finals of The Economics Olympiad, which is the world’s largest and fastest-growing global competition in economics.

This is the first year Worth has entered this competition which challenges students on all manner of economic theories that span well beyond the IB and A Level curriculum and covers some university study concepts.

They competed online against students from schools around the country, answering a rigorous set of questions. It was particularly impressive as Worth entered just Year 12 students who were up against Year 13 students and some first-year university students.

Well done to all Worth students who are through to the next stage.

The Economics Olympiad culminates in Ancient Olympia, Greece, where the top five UK students will proudly represent their country at the International Final.
