Many congratulations to the cast of Six who showcased so much talent with a highly professional production across three nights in the Performing Arts Centre theatre this week.
Worth’s Drama shows are widely considered to be outstanding and this show was up there with the best that the School has performed in recent years. The final show last night was attended by a sell-out audience who gave the performers, backstage team and staff a huge ovation at the end.
This musical told the story of Henry VIII’s six wives in a modern setting. The cast has been rehearsing the show since September, working with Director of Music Mr Lewis Brito-Babapulle on their singing and learning age-appropriate choreography composed by Miss Taya Davidson, teacher of Drama who was making her directing debut at the School.
The next school performance at Worth will be the Junior Production of Shrek from 10-12 June. Before then, Worth will be hosting One Night Only, a show by Friday Street Productions, on Saturday 9 May. Tickets for both these shows are available here: https://events.liveit.io/worth-school/
The Drama department puts on three shows a year, offering opportunities for all students to take part in productions. The first show performed this academic year was the Senior School production of The Addams Family in December.
