The Whitehead Room has seen an exciting return to its original purpose as a music performance space. This room has a magnificent acoustic and it gives a wonderful sense of occasion to concerts. The baby grand piano has been moved to the Whitehead Room permanently and is used in every concert both as a solo and accompanying instrument. The piano is in need of restoration to bring it back to its former glory after many years of use. This will provide an instrument which is inspiring to all those students who play it and which is fitting to its surroundings.

The projector will enhance drama productions and offer a different kind of experience for our audiences. It will enable the use of creative and animated digital backgrounds and is an effective way of presenting locations and special effects. This would also be amazing for our GCSE, A Level and theatre activities students, as it would enable them to design digital sets and enrich their creative opportunities.

Our Forest School is now a well-established part of the curriculum, social outreach and activities programme. Research has shown time and again the benefits of outdoor learning, with resilience, perseverance, teamwork, communication and self-worth being some of the valuable outcomes. This year we have launched a programme for Year 9 where they spend half a term developing new skills in the woods, leading up to a four-week outreach project welcoming Year 3 or 4 students from a local primary school and teaching them what they have learned. With the programme expanding, we need to buy more equipment such as saws, axes and camp fire kettles to be able to run multiple groups simultaneously.

Benefits: social outreach programme for Worth pupils and visiting children.

A multi-purpose investment, these lights will provide significant enhanced training opportunities in winter for football and rugby. They will also be used for winter evening tennis and netball training and would enhance evening activity provision for boarders.

We are proud of the achievements of our current and past students and teams and would like to display these honours, awards and trophies in order to give them the recognition they deserve. We have plans for display boards, honours boards and trophy cases and cannot wait to get this exciting project started in order to showcase the many talents of our Worth community.

Help us to further transform teaching in the new music classroom with items such as Cubase Pro Digital Audio Workstation software, desktop speakers, a licence server and recording system. The Coleburt Room has recently been converted into a dual-purpose space for classroom music teaching and rehearsals by the addition of computers and music keyboards. By also equipping the Coleburt Room with the equipment to teach Music Technology – a popular A Level choice which is currently taught in a small Mac Suite and Recording Studio – this would double the department's Music Technology facilities and would allow students to produce music to a high professional standard.

The library is on a mission to promote engagement in reading and lifelong learning with our goal of doubling our e-book collection. We will be including the pupils in the book selection process. The expansion of our e-book library will promote pupil engagement in reading, populate the library with books the children want to read and provide a resource that every child can take home over the holidays, benefitting students both inside and outside of school.

This project will see the current heavy wood entrance doors into the Narthex replaced with glass doors, letting in light and heralding a significant transition from the secular to the sacred, as well as creating button-operated disability access.

Bursaries have the power to transform lives and we ask you to join us in supporting this meaningful campaign. Donations to the Bursary Fund create the chance of providing an outstanding, life-changing education to someone who would not otherwise have this opportunity.

Benefits: Bursary recipients and their families.

This fund supports the Abbey's work in retreats for young people, which offers hospitality to groups that would like to engage with the rhythm of prayer and spirituality found at the monastery. The Fund contributes to paying youth workers to run residential retreats for teenagers and young adults (the only such programme in our Diocese of Arundel and Brighton) and subsidises the cost for participants.
