Debating ties presented

Congratulations to members of the Debating Society who were awarded their ties just before Christmas.

Worth has a strong reputation for Debating following a number of successes, including winning a national competition, the Ethics Cup, last May as well as the regional final of the Rotary Debating Competition earlier in 2022.

In November, members of the Senior Debating Society successfully represented the School in the first round of the English-Speaking Union Debating Competition and are looking forward to competing in the next round.

Ties are presented to members of the Society to mark commitment and achievements.

At Worth, we also run an inter-House debating competition which offers the opportunity for all year groups to compete against their peers. Among the benefits of joining the Debating Society at Worth are learning presentation skills through effective speech composition and delivery, structure and organising thoughts, improving critical thinking, listening, teamwork and improving confidence.
