Debating Society praise

Worth’s Senior Debating Society team were complimented for their presentation and how they spoke at a recent event hosted by East Grinstead Meridian Rotary.

The event was great experience for Worth’s two teams as we prepare for forthcoming competitions. As well as a Senior team, Worth fielded a Junior team consisting of Year 10 pupils and both teams competed well.

The Junior team debated ‘This house would ban the use of mobile phones’ while the Senior team debated ‘This house would ban digital manipulation in advertising including social media content’.

Well done to all those who represented the School.

Being part of the Debating Society helps pupils develop presentation skills, critical thinking and structuring thoughts.
