Worth students are up for the debate! After a hiatus of a couple of years, the Worth Debating Society has been resurrected and is providing students across the School with the opportunity to talk passionately about a variety of subjects.
The Debating Society is currently operating in three different groups: Seniors, Year 11 and Juniors. The seniors have already been entered into the MACE competition, which is the oldest and largest debating competition for schools in England.
Among the benefits of joining the Debating Society are learning presentation skills through effective speech composition and delivery, structure and organising thoughts, improving critical thinking, listening, teamwork and improving confidence.
The Debating Society is just one of many co-curricular activities students can get involved in at Worth.
