Worth School

Worth’s team of runners performed superbly at the Sussex Schools Cross Country Championships, with three students qualifying to represent Sussex in the forthcoming Inter-Counties event.

A strong team of 22 runners was at Waterhall in Brighton to represent the School in three different age groups and all of them did really well in challenging conditions.

Of particular note, Max was 10th out of hundreds of entries in the Junior Boys’ race, Alex was 19th in the Inter Boys’ competition and Tommy was 19th in the Senior Boys’ event. All three will now go forward to represent Sussex at the South East Schools Inter-Counties event in Haywards Heath next month.

In the Senior events, Worth had five boys in the top 50 and two girls in the top 33.

Well done to all runners who represented the School.
