Well done to our 1st XI cricketers who made an excellent start to the season by winning both matches hosted at Worth last weekend.

On Saturday, Worth batted first against Ardingly College and posted 145-7 with Jack scoring 42 and Charlie 35. Then Fraser took 3-12 as Ardingly were bowled out for 135.

The following day, Worth played an annual Sunday fixture against Sussex Martlets who posted 154-3 declared. In reply Jack hit 62, Geroge 28 not out and Charlie 26 as Worth claimed a six-wicket win.

It was very pleasing to be able to host both fixtures despite the recent rain. Thank you to our excellent grounds team for making this possible.

This coming weekend there are two more fixtures at home, including the prestigious annual match against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) on Sunday.

The Cricket Academy at Worth is run by Head of Cricket Mr Raj Chaudhuri.
