Choir praised for beautiful service

Worth’s Chamber Choir, the auditioned choir which includes some of the best singers in the school, made their annual visit to Chichester Cathedral to sing the service of Choral Evensong on Wednesday.

The choir sang Ebdon Preces and Responses, the setting of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in D Minor by Thomas Attwood Walmsley, and Stainer’s “God so loved the world” from the Crucifixion. Our students were complimented for their singing and were excellent ambassadors for the School and the Music department.

The Canon Treasurer, who led the service, thanked us for a beautiful service and remarked that we are one of the few Roman Catholic choirs to sing Evensong at the cathedral, which we have been doing for more than a decade.
