Another excellent year of debating at Worth came to an end with our annual charity gala debate between students and teachers.
Debating thrives at Worth and this event is an opportunity to showcase the talents of our students.
Worth offers debating to all year groups but last Friday was an evening for Year 13 debaters coming to the end of their time at the School.
Our team of teachers included Head Master Mr Stuart McPherson, Head of English Mrs Dawn Clubb who leads debating at Worth, Head of Sixth Form Mr Matthew Doggett and Science teacher Mr David McColl, who also leads lacrosse at the School. The teachers were declared winners but our students debated superbly and were praised by the judging panel which included barrister and Worthian Mr Chris McCourt, who is now a governor at the School.
The evening raised money for the charity Right to Play.
