Worth School

Worth has been celebrating British Science Week with a number of fascinating experiments and initiatives taking place including a live link-up with scientists working in Antarctica.

Year 10 Science students were able to enjoy the remote link-up with scientists who gave an outline of the work they are undertaking.

In Physics, activities included Year 9 making timers and timing a song, while in Chemistry they were undertaking rates experiments with various catalysts, measuring the time taken for a recognisable event to happen early in a reaction, and in Biology pupils were looking at reaction times. Meanwhile, our youngest pupils in Years 7 and 8 enjoyed a fun British Science Week quiz.

British Science Week, which is an annual celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths.
