A captivating talk for students

Thu, Nov 10th, 2022
Worth School

Adventurer, scientist, and entrepreneur Neil Laughton returned at Worth last Friday to deliver a hugely entertaining talk to Sixth Form students and Year 11 scholars.

Former Worth student Neil, who was in Chapman House and left in 1982, was able to talk about his career in the Army, his entrepreneurial projects, his many adventures and numerous Guinness World Records.

The talk formed part of the Spencer Lecture Series, which is one element of our enrichment programme at Worth. The series provides our Sixth Form students and Year 11 scholars with thought-provoking, scholarly, creative, philosophical, political, technological or social enriching information.

The next talk in the series is Friday evening this week with Dr Patricia Scanlan who will discuss the poetic muse in the modern world.
