Bringing Physics to life

Worth School

Sixth Form students enjoyed a fascinating trip to the Physics in Action show at the Emmanuel Centre in London. The trip had a dual purpose of extending their knowledge of the subject and gaining ideas of future careers.

The day included five sessions of phenomenal physics with some of the brightest lights in the subject. There were challenges, experimentation and interactivity, including quizzes and the chance to question the scientists.

This was just one of a number of trips the school runs throughout the academic years, some of which support academic learning and others entertain students in their leisure time, including weekends.

This Friday there is a trip to the Chemistry in Action Show and later this month there is a Biology equivalent.

Recent evening and weekend trips include a trip to see Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre, a visit to Charles Darwin House and a day at the Sea Life Centre in Brighton.

The images include one from Physics in Action, one from Moulin Rouge! The Musical and one from the trip to Charles Darwin House.
