A huge congratulations to four Year 10 Butler House boys who won the ‘Best Marketing Award’ at last week’s St Catherine’s Hospice (STCH) Youth Enterprise Award ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by another five schools, parents, teaching communities, STCH and NatWest personnel. The schools raised more than £12,000 for STCH between them.
The boys picked up the award having raised £1,400 for St Catherine’s Hospice. In a humbling ceremony, it was explained that the money raised will go directly to end of life care and fulfilling the basic wishes of those in the final stages of life.
The boys presented for 10 minutes to the CEO of St Catherine’s Hospice, the area manager for NatWest and business partners. Following the presentation, they were then quizzed for 10 minutes on how they raised the funds and adversaries they overcame along the way. The boys spoke eloquently and were praised for their initiative, forward thinking in their marketing ideas and the fulfilment of those ideas.
Worth is proud of not only what they achieved but how they conducted themselves on the evening – young entrepreneurs in the making.
