Boarders have lots of fun on weekend trips
Thu, Sep 12th, 2024
From paintballing to sailing and enjoying a trip to Thorpe Park, boarding students began the academic year with a range of trips last Sunday.
The first weekend of the academic year is commonly known as ‘closed weekend’ and sees each boarding House enjoying an outing as a group, which serves to strengthen existing friendships, build new friendships and enable each House to enjoy a shared experience.
Girls in St Mary’s Middles went to Thorpe Park’s thrilling theme park, while St Mary’s Sixth took part in a smartphone scavenger hunt in Brighton. Boys in St Bede’s went paintballing, Rutherford went to Airsoft and Gervase enjoyed a day sailing at Ardingly Reservoir.
